Here are some of the more frequently asked
questions and their answers that might help you out of a jam. |
we have a LaserJet 1100, 5L, 6L or a
3100 fax that pulls more than one sheet through at a time, now we feed
them one sheet at a time. Is there anything we can do? |
| |
Yes, We have a kit that can be
installed that will prevent the multi-feeding problem. Once the kit is
installed the printer will go back to the way it used to be, feeding one
sheet at a time. |

I am getting a 13 Paper jam on my Hp
2D,3D but I don't see any paper in the printer? |
| |
On the 2D,3D look at the bottom left
side of the printer you will find the duplex access door. Open the door
and look for a green lever. Fold down the lever and look for your paper
in there.

Are there things we should or should
not be doing to increase the life of my LaserJet? |
| |
Yes. Do the following: |
| |
Keep
the exhaust fan area clear. Let's face it the printer looks like a good
spot to lean your folder or papers up against but this can block the
exhaust fan and cause costly repairs. You will recognize the exhaust
fan area by a series of openings usually in the side of the printer or in the back. By keeping this open the printer will run cooler and
last much longer. |
| |
Once a
Month check for air blowing out if the exhaust fan. Do this by printing
something and feel for air movement at the exhaust area. If no air
movement is felt, contact us ASAP. |
| |
If you
go a while with out printing turn the printer off. This
saves the printer and electricity. ( Newer models may not have a switch
to turn off i.e. LaserJet 1100, but they will automatically shut down after so
many minutes.) |
| |
Keep
your printer away from the air conditioner vent. Remember that your
printer uses a heated roller to melt the toner into the page. By
keeping the cold air away, your printer won't have to work so hard. |
| |

through your printer blow out all of the dust and check all of the

down. I'll give your printer the attention that it needs, leaving it
